Privacy Policy

Tizilo ("we") makes a bookkeeping app for self-employed people. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We do not sell your personal information.

What we collect

• Account: name, email, and sign-in details (Google, Apple, Facebook or password).
• Financial data you connect or enter: bank and card transactions and balances (through Plaid, with your permission), statements you import, invoices, clients, and people you pay.
• Receipts and files: photos and PDFs you upload, such as receipts, logos and tax forms.
• Location during drives: when mileage tracking is on, the phone's GPS is used only while a drive is detected, to record the route and miles. It is not collected while you are parked.
• Tax profile: filing status, state, and income figures you enter, to estimate taxes.
• Payment: subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
• Support: messages you send us through the app or email.

How we use it

To provide the app's features (sorting, mileage logs, receipts, invoices, reports, tax estimates), to keep your account secure, to bill your subscription, and to answer support requests. We do not use your financial data for advertising.

Who we share it with

Only service providers that run the app for us, under contract: Plaid (bank connections), Stripe (payments), Google, Apple and Meta (sign-in only, if you choose them), Oracle Cloud (hosting). Also when required by law, or to someone you invite, such as your accountant.

Security

Data is sent over HTTPS. Bank access tokens are encrypted at rest. Contractor tax ID numbers are stored encrypted and are not included in downloads.

Your choices

• Download all your records at any time (Settings › Reports).
• Disconnect a bank at any time (Settings › Bank & card accounts).
• Turn off mileage tracking or location permission at any time.
• Delete your account: email support@tizilo.com and we delete your data within 30 days, except records we must keep by law.

Retention

We keep your data while your account is open. After you cancel, you keep access until your paid period ends; we then keep your data for 90 days so you can come back or download it, and delete it after that unless you ask sooner.

Children

Tizilo is not for children under 18.
